David Briggs writes: ‘It was a great pleasure to invite the celebrated international organist Wayne Marshall to share in the celebrations for the re-opening of the re-built organ in Gloucester Cathedral. The duo concert took place on 29 January in front of a packed cathedral, and most of the pieces which you hear on this recording featured in the concert, although the CD was not made until 24/25 February (in two sessions stretching late into the night).’
