This second collection of hymn and psalms from Winchester offers a number of familiar and well-loved hymns alongside others which are only now beginning to become established in our repertoire and affections. Interspersed with these hymns are some of the psalms which form such an important part of our daily worship at Winchester. The preface to Sing His Glory (Canterbury Press, Norwich, 1997) affirms that ‘…many people absorb their theology from, and are nurtured in the faith by, the words they sing and the tunes to which they sing those words.’ This is certainly our experience at Winchester.
