Winchester College is unique among secondary schools today in still maintaining its ancient choral foundation. The Quiristers perform their role in the College Chapel, taking part as members of the the Chapel Choir in a full range of choral services. They also sing in their own right as a boys’ concert choir, with a wide repertoire of music, both sacred and secular. The programme on this disc – a varied selection of choral and solo songs – particularly celebrates the concert dimension of the Quiristers’ work.
