Carillon on ‘O praise ye the Lord’

Sir Nicholas Jackson, the Organist and Master of the Choristers at St David’s Cathedral in Wales from 1977 to 1984, has achieved increasing distinction as an organist, harpsichordist, and composer… His music has a French slant, unashamedly influenced by Dupré, Duruflé, whose treatment of plainsong was irresistible, and Langlais, for whom the Easter Carol is written as a homage… The organ of the church of Saint-Antoine des Quinze-Vingts was originally built in 1894 by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll for the private concert-hall of the Baron de l’Espée, situated on the Champs-Elysées; it was moved to the church in 1909.
