Over recent years the Choir of Eltham College, which numbers some eighty singers in its largest form, has toured extensively throughout Europe and the United States, and has taken up residencies at a number of British Cathedrals.

The choir is much in demand on the professional concert platform. Recent performances have included Handel’s Messiah with James Bowman at the Blackheath Concert Halls and a number of concerts with the Orchestra of St John’s at St John’s Smith Square. In November 2005 they sang the world premiere of Karl Jenkins’ Sing We Merrily Unto God, again accompanied by the Orchestra of St John’s.

Tim Johnson read music at Cambridge University where he was Organ Scholar at Robinson College under the tutelage of David Sanger. As a cellist he studied with Vivian Joseph and became Co-Principal Cellist of the University First Orchestra in 1992.

Tim Garrard graduated in the summer of 2001 from King’s College, Cambridge where he read music and was the Senior Choral Scholar of the Chapel Choir. He is presently the Assistant Director of Music and Head of Vocal Studies at Eltham College, London.

Henry Fairs is University Organist at the University of Birmingham and an organ tutor at the Birmingham Conservatoire.
Born in Hereford in 1976, he gained the Fellowship diploma of the Royal College of Organists in 1997, winning the Turpin and Durrant Prize. After graduating withfirst class honours in 1998, he was the recipient of a scholarship from the Countessof Munster Trust which enabled further studies in Paris and Cologne. Important teachers have includedDavid Saint, Thierry Mechler, David Sanger and Susan Landale.
