St Etheldredas Church, named after the East Anglian princess who died in great holiness in A.D. 678, was the first pre-Reformation shrine restored to Catholic hands in England and Wales; it is remarkable as much for its historic associations as for its architecture.
St Etheldredas Choir follows in the churchs long and distinguished musical tradition. The present choir is one of only a handful of fully professional Roman Catholic church choirs in the country. With over 7,500 projects in Eastern Europe and throughout the world, the Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need is present today wherever it is most needed, from the slums of Latin America to the bleak villages of Siberia.
