Info & track listings
Winchester College Chapel Choir sings a full range of choral services in the College Chapel. It gives recitals, broadcasts and records for BBC Radio and Television, and makes regular tours abroad.
The choir has about 45 members: the singers on this recording are drawn from a smaller semi-chorus which provides music for the midweek choral evensong. Harry Sever was Head Quirister from 2003-4, and BBC Young Chorister of the Year 2003. He is now in his first year as a senior pupil at Winchester College, where he holds academic and music scholarships.
Harry has performed widely as a soloist and made frequent appearances on radio and television. Thomas Jesty is the current Head Quirister, and hopes in due course to join Winchester College as a senior pupil. As a soloist he is equally at home with plainchant or Elton John. He is a finalist in the BBC Young Chorister of the Year competition 2004.
