Sarah Baldock took up the post of Organist and Master of the Choristers at Chichester Cathedral in April 2008. She was previously Assistant Director of Music at Winchester Cathedral where she accompanied the Choir in daily services, tours, broadcasts and recordings. She founded the Winchester Cathedral Girls Choir in 1998, and was its Director until 2008.
She has directed choral workshops in the UK, USA, Norway and Sweden and is a Patron of the Newcastle Cathedral Girls Choir, and a regular Director of the Girl Chorister Course at St Thomas Fifth Avenue, New York.Sarah Baldock held a music scholarship at St Pauls Girls School in London, and was Organ Scholar at Pembroke College Cambridge where she read for a music degree.
During this time she won prizes in the RCO diploma examinations and a bursary for postgraduate study with David Sanger and Thomas Trotter. Sarah was a finalist in the 1998 Calgary and a prizewinner at the 2000 Odense and 2003 Dallas International Organ Competitions, which lead to concert work in Europe, USA and Canada. Sarah Baldock has recorded two solo CDs for Herald: The Marcussen Organ in Tonbridge School Chapel (1998) and The Organ of Chichester Cathedral (2011).
Timothy Ravalde was educated at the Nelson Thomlinson School, Wigton. While in sixth form he was Organ Scholar of Carlisle Cathedral and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists. In 2006 he took up the Organ Scholarship for one year at Salisbury Cathedral where his duties included accompanying and directing the Cathedral Choir. He graduated from Cambridge University in 2010. As Organ Scholar of St Johns College he accompanied the choir for numerous tours, the famous annual Advent broadcasts and three critically acclaimed CD recordings with Chandos, as well as the daily chapel services.
